I was born in France to immigrant parents from Spain and was raised in a multicultural / multilingual environment on the border with Switzerland and Germany. After art school, I painted, taught and exhibited in France for many years before moving to Switzerland. There, in 1997, I formed “Maymo Art” .
I wanted to break free from traditional painting with constraints and allow my imagination to soar. My style is to put emphasis on color and the impact created on the mind when painted on unexpected subjects. My goal is to open a door to dream and imagine, giving the viewer the possibility to enter other worlds with my colorful fantasy art. I live to “color” the lives of all I encounter.
I believe in balance of the physical, spiritual and creative human being. In addition to my painting and degrees in martial arts, I have written published poetry and in 2017, published a coloring book, A Walk in the Forest.
I speak 4 languages fluently, and am a professional interpreter and French teacher. I now currently reside in Tampa, Florida with my wife, Tracy, and fur baby, Luna.
