Description
While doing research for a public art project for the Town of Indian Shores, I attended a pow-wow on the Seminole Reservation. Multiple Native American tribes were represented that day. Part of the entertainment included dancing by various tribes. Also included was alligator wrestling by a couple of Seminole representatives. Clearly shoes are optional.
Someone suggested that I paint a series of different shoes. I immediately became ultra-aware of people’s feet and how they are shod or if they are bare and why. Since I gave up painting in detail, I decided to try my hand at snapshots. Enjoy!
