Feet a Series of Photography by Sara Mullins Bagpiper

Shoe styles change so much over years, decades, and millennia.  Here, the bagpiper for a St. Patrick’s Day festival, is sporting oxfords with laces going up the shins. Are they decorative?  Perhaps.  Or are the laces a means to keep from losing your shoe while marching with your pipes?

Someone suggested that I paint a series of different shoes.  I immediately became ultra-aware of people’s feet and how they are shod or if they are bare and why.  Since I gave up painting in detail, I decided to try my hand at snapshots. Enjoy!
