There is no more precious sight than retired military feet.  Feet that saw battle and made it home. We salute you.

Photo credit goes to Tracy McKithern, US Army.  I became familiar with Tracy’s work when she participated in an art exhibit in Indian Shores.  She was commissioned to photograph the shoreline, which was included in the bus stop graphics along Gulf Boulevard as a part of the Phil Graham Gulf Boulevard Beautification project paid for by Penny for Pinellas.

Someone suggested that I paint a series of different shoes.  I immediately became ultra-aware of people’s feet and how they are shod or if they are bare and why.  Since I gave up painting in detail, I decided to try my hand at snapshots. Enjoy!
