Description
While doing research for a public art project for the Town of Indian Shores, I came across this band of terrazzo inserted into the sidewalk in Bradenton. It resembled a rivulet of water flowing along. I needed a snapshot to add to my research, and I typically add a hand or foot to illustrate scale. It so happened that I was wearing flats with a faux snakeskin finish. Interesting contrast, maybe only interesting to an artist!
Someone suggested that I paint a series of different shoes. I immediately became ultra-aware of people’s feet and how they are shod or if they are bare and why. Since I gave up painting in detail, I decided to try my hand at snapshots. Enjoy!
