Description
ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am an engineer and BIM/VDC Manager for a construction company in Tampa, Florida. My work involves coordinating 3D computer models of mechanical systems within the building models.
I am also a professional photographer specializing in sports, landscape, travel, wildlife and architectural photography. My brother-in-law is a mineral dealer and I helped him guide tour groups on excursions collecting minerals throughout South Africa, Madagascar and Namibia. This gave me the opportunity to discover the many beautiful vistas in these countries, especially Namibia.
I used my experiences and friendships there to begin offering photo safaris throughout Namibia.
Taken in the abandoned ghost town of Kolmanskop, Miss Kobba is elegant graffiti by someone in the distant past. Details of her arms by her side and her legs kneeling down can still be seen. We may never know who Miss Koppa was.
