ARTIST STATEMENT:

I am an engineer and BIM/VDC Manager for a construction company in Tampa, Florida. My work involves coordinating 3D computer models of mechanical systems within the building models.

I am also a professional photographer specializing in sports, landscape, travel, wildlife and architectural photography. My brother-in-law is a mineral dealer and I helped him guide tour groups on excursions collecting minerals throughout South Africa, Madagascar and Namibia. This gave me the opportunity to discover the many beautiful vistas in these countries, especially Namibia.

I used my experiences and friendships there to begin offering photo safaris throughout Namibia.

This baby seal is resting after swimming in the strong currents of the waters off the skeleton coast. The seal colony at Cape Cross numbers upwards of 250,000 and can be visited with up close views along an elevated boardwalk.
