Description
“HELP ME!” was created in response to my angry and frustrated reaction to all the reports of missing and abducted young persons. It seems to be much more prevalent than ever. Daily we see postings of missing teens and younger from all over. Some are found, most not. It is an outrage. The hand with a dot in the center was an idea floated for a while as a means of one abducted to signal to others that they needed help. It has not seemed to have caught on. Child abduction must be stopped. Everyone must be alerted to keep their eyes open to save them.
This painting is acrylic and pastel on 140lb watercolor paper. It has a 4″ wide white mat and 2″ black wood frame.
It was on exhibit as part of my Solo Show at Galleria Misto at Mahaffey Theater, Duke Energy Center for the Arts, St. Petersburg, FL Nov. 2019 – Jan. 2020.
