Marie E. Howard a graduate of College of Alameda in California, has been painting with watercolors for 43 years. 

In the medium of watercolor, she uses a technique called, Wet-on-wet, which requires embracing the unpredictable, spontaneous, fluid results. This technique yields wonderful, soft color gradations. 

Her subject matter ranges from organic and geometric shapes to fluid themes suggesting movement and space. 

Her art is the light and color of her imagination.
