ARTIST STATEMENT:
My career has been as a civil engineer for over 25 years. With working and family keeping me busy, I had not explored my artistic side until the last few years.
I have found joy using color to show motion and energy, which is also an expression of emotions and subconscious thoughts. Everything around us is energy and I find the flow of color is a fun way to express that energy.
I am always fascinated to hear what others see in the artwork. My painting flows from what I am drawn to at that time. There is no set image in mind. Colors are selected and then layered on the canvas over several sessions. Often, crystals and other multimedia objects are incorporated into the paintings as well. I also enjoy being a mother and helping with animal rescue.
